A talk by creative-nonfiction writer Elizabeth Rush, author of Rising: Dispatches From the New American Shore. Called "moving and urgent" by Pacific Standard, the book details communities' responses to rising sea levels. A book signing and reception in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition Anthropocenic: Art About the Natural World in the Human Era follow Rush's lecture in the Bates Museum of Art.
