Ben Twining, senior research scientist at the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, East Boothbay, discusses both his research into planktonic organisms and Bigelow's 2015 semester-in-residence oceanography program for college students. The program explores public policy implications of diverse topics within the field and affords hands-on research experience in a professional laboratory environment.
