For the 50th anniversary of the pivotal 1968 U.S. presidential campaign, its relevance now and the role of Democratic vice-presidential candidate Edmund Muskie '36 is the topic of this event. Speakers are Joel Goldstein of Saint Louis University, who is writing a book about Muskie's political career, and Don Nicoll, who was a key Muskie staffer. A panel featuring Goldstein, Nicoll, former Muskie staffer Jane Fenderson Cabot and others follows, moderated by Bates politics professor John Baughman. FMI jwebber@bates.edu. (Photo: Barry M.
