Thomas Wartenberg, professor emeritus of philosophy and a member of the Film Studies Steering Committee at Mount Holyoke College, examines ways in which philosophy has been done cinematically. He'll use films from different genres — including Anomalisa, an animated film; Amour, narrative fiction; and The Act of Killing, documentary — to explore central ways that philosophy has been realized in film.
