Darsono, visiting artist in music, performs with his group Ngudi Raras and the Bates Gamelan Orchestra. Playing at Bates as part of an 11-stop tour, Ngudi Raras is a group of master Javanese musicians that perform as a "gadhon," or chamber ensemble.
