In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, classes at Bates are canceled and special programming takes place around campus throughout the day. This year’s theme is Reparations: Addressing Racial Injustices. With topics ranging from musical appropriation to children's literature, from implicit bias to the Native justice organization Maine-Wabanaki REACH, concurrent workshops take place through late morning.
