A reception opens this summer's shows at the Bates College Museum of Art. DeWitt Hardy: Master of Watercolor spotlights an expert in one of the most challenging art media and an incisive observer of Maine outside of tourist season. In more than 60 loans from museums and private collections, this overview captures Hardy's stylistic evolution over half a century. Meanwhile, Uncovered: Selected Works from the Collection reveals contemporary work, by prominent artists, that has seldom or never been shown at Bates. FMI 207-786-6158 or museum@bates.edu.
